A woman in a uniform places a lei of orchids around Margaret McGuire's neck as she accepts the role of Centennial Queen on a stage at the Wisconsin Centennial Exposition, she was also the hostess at the Dairy Pavillion. Margaret McGuire is the 1948 (first) Alice in Dairyland. Men at the foot of the stage can be seen taking photographs with flash-bulbs attached to their cameras. |
