Christmas with Foreign Students
Ritva Jantunen (standing right) of Helsinki, Findland displays a symmetrical "himmelis." In Finland, a "himmelis" would be made of straw and oats and placed outside for the birds on December 26th, St. Stephan's day. The host family, the Fraters, are looking on while sitting at left. They are (first row) Norman, and Zipper (the dog); (middle row) Mr. Kermit Frater and Ardyce; and (back row) Mrs. Marie Frater, and Marcia. |
