A promotional card advertising the large amounts of hay that can be growth in northern Wisconsin. The image shows three men posing on and beside a wagon carrying bundles of hay. Behind them there appears to be a man with a woman and child sitting in a horse-drawn carriage.<p>The caption reads: "THE HAY CROP. - It is generally supposed that very little hay can be growth in Northern Wisconsin for the reason that the land is all occupied by standing timber. It is true that hay will not grow the timber but there are large ares which have been cleared and there are many acres of natural hay meadows from which the finest kind of winter forage can be secured. This view shows a Price County farmer on the road to Phillips with hay to sell. He has a surplus above what is necessary to support nine heads of stock.
