The data in this on-line tour comes from a variety of sources - old accession ledgers, catalog cards, donor correspondence, and a variety of primary and secondary references, as well as from visual inspection of the artifacts themselves. Although we have made every attempt to assure the authenticity and reliability of data, the Wisconsin Historical Society cannot guarantee its accuracy and is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from its use.

If you find any inaccuracies, misspellings, or errors in identification, attribution, or interpretation, please contact either Leslie Bellais, Curator of Costumes and Textiles (for children's clothing, quilts, dolls, or samplers), Joe Kapler, Curator of Domestic Life (for paintings or ceramic art), or Paul Bourcier, Chief Curator (for moccasins). Whenever errors are confirmed, corrections will be made to the master database as soon as possible. The online tour will be updated accordingly on a periodic basis.
