A Farmer Speaks
Bryce Luchterhand, a Unity, Wisconsin, farmer, with Wisconsin Congressman David R. Obey, chairman of the Joint Economic Committee at a committee hearing. Obey, who was the chair of the JEC, said that Luchterhand was the only "real farmer" among a list of witnesses that included three governors and a number of farm experts. Luchterhand went on to head the Farmers Home Administration in Wisconsin and to work as a field representative for Senator Herb Kohl. |
