Library Dedication
Individuals at the dedication of the Wausau Public Library. From the left: Kermit Goertz, president of the local library board; Henry C. Ahrnsbrak, chairman of the Wisconsin Library Development Committee, Congressman David R. Obey; and Mayor John L. Kannenberg. Obey, only recently elected to Congress, was at the event to present a flag that had flown over the Capitol. Such flag presentations were often the reason for a legislator's presence at an event in the district. |
