Breakfast in Heidelberg for American Journalists Menu
Front and back sides of a menu (in German) for a breakfast given by the city of Heidelberg to honor American journalists. On the front is a songbird perched on a treetop with red hand-colored flowers and the Heidelberg Castle in the background. The image is framed in a blind-stamped square on cream-colored textured stock. A handwritten inscription across the top reads: "Alt Heidelberg du feine" ("Old Heidelberg, you fine [city]"), a line from the song Badnerlied. The handwritten inscription beneath reads, "Das Lied" ("The Song") and possibly the artist's name (illegible). |
