The Wisconsin Historical Society (WHS) is a local organization that can offer work study positions to UW-Madison students who have been awarded federal work-study grants as part of a financial aid package. The Wisconsin Foundation occasionally has internship opportunities as part of the Marketing & Communications team.
The Wisconsin Historical Foundation regularly employs interns with the expectation that they can work 15-20 hours per week. Hours are flexible and the internship timelines can be extended beyond a single semester.
The Wisconsin Historical Society does not have a structured internship program.
Our integration within the UW-Madison Libraries system enables us to function as a campus library resource, facilitating university programs and serving students in the same capacity as other campus entities.
As part of this we participate in the UW-Madison undergraduate Information Specialist Internship Program as well as graduate student programs as part of practicum courses.
