Souvenir Menu for Dinner for Kletzsch, Ott, and Kremer
Interior pages of the souvenir menu for a dinner given by Mr. Edward A. Uhrig to Mr. Alvin P. Kletzsch, Mr. Emil H. Ott, and Mr. Waldemar Kremer at Republican House, with a cartoon of a man standing at the back of a Manila St. Ry. Co. streetcar and the caption, "C. Nesbit Duffy of Milwaukee and Manila entertained the party at Manila P.I." on the menu page. A frowning couple with a suitcase and a checkbook sit at the "Germany R.R. Station" near a "No Checks Cashed" sign with the caption, "Mr. Ott had plenty of checks but no place to cash them" and men and women packed into a rickshaw pulled by a man in a hat, summer wear, and sandals with the caption "In Japan" on the entertainment page. Both cartoon are signed with the initials "KG". Printed in brown and ochre inks on cream laid stock. |
