IH Model 1603 School Bus in Puerto Rico

This photograph was likely taken by the International Harvester Overseas Division for promotional purposes, and shows students in school uniforms with books exiting a model 1603 60 passenger school bus. The "IH" insignia is just above the grille of the bus and the top of the bus reads: "GUAGUA ESCOLAR." The side of the bus reads: "MUNICIPIO DE TOA BAJA." The school bus was purchased by the municipality of Toa Baja for a program initiated by the Commonwealth of Purto Rico to supply children living in rural areas transportation to school.
