F.C. Caves' I.G.A. Store
| View from street of a man standing on the sidewalk in front of a grocery store at 300 West Lakeside Street. The overhead sign reads, "F.C. Caves, Meats and Groceries, Member, I.G.A. Stores" with two IGA signs on the right and left. He is holding a sign covered with large polka dots. A smaller, similar sign is being held at an angle over the larger sign. The sign is probably part of a promotion for the South Side Picnic being held on Sunday, June 14th, 1931. Groceries and their prices are displayed in the windows. A Hills Brothers Coffee sign is next to the door. The store has a crank out awning above the display windows. |
