Plaenert's Grocery
Walter Plaenert, owner of Plaenert's Grocery, poses in front of his store at 1128 South Park Street. He is holding a sign for the South Side Picnic. The sign reads "June 14, Watch Cards Change, Board Compliments, Capital City Lumber Company." It also has a large question mark in the center. The store has merchandise in the windows and signs for "Kennedy's Creamery," "It's a Food, Schoep's, Home-ade Ice Cream," "Lake Shore Seeds," "Central Wisconsin Co-operative." On the right, vegetables in flats are for sale. On the left is a window with a workman in an apron peering out. His apron is advertising a lumber company. There is a building permit below Plaenert's window. |
