Home-Built Heath

Ray and Carl Breecher's Heath parasol monoplane while still under construction in their father's garage. Despite extensive modification, the plane crashed during a test flight in 1934. The E.B. Heath Airplane Company of Chicago was established to make airplanes affordable. The company sold the best known of the build-your-own airplanes. Customers could buy complete kits, plans, or parts. |
