Aerial Photography Business Card

The business card of Waukesha photographer Warren O'Brien, a pioneer in aerial photography in Wisconsin. The illustration shows him sitting on the wing of a Curtiss Jenny. Walking on the wing to this position was a trick he learned from pilot Cash Chamberlain. At other times O'Brien's relatives would sit on his legs as he knelt on the seat in the cockpit. In this case, however, the picture was taken on the ground. An avid aviator himself, O'Brien served as both president and historian of the Waukesha Aviation Club. |
