Map or Atlas
Beloit College Campus

This map of the Beloit College Campus is a pictorial depiction of the layout of campus including buildings and students depicted as Shmoos (popular cartoon character). On the back the map includes other illustrations and handwritten text from the Beloit College Alumni Association encouraging alumni monetary contributions to the 1948-1949 Alumni Fund. The back reads: "Here, with the compliments of the Alumni Association, is a zany map of Beloit College thought up and drawn by a couple of Al Cappish undergrads. And now being uproariously appreciated by the shmoo - We mean students. It is sent to you for your amusement - and as a gentle reminder that if you haven't yet made your contribution to the 1948-1949 Alumni Fund, Now is the time to do it. Big or small. Your gift will be appreciated. Anything over the "minimum" ($3.00) May be channelled toward either Faculty Salaries or Alumni Scholarships. (If a card and envelope are enclosed, your contribution had not come in when this circular was mailed to you.)". The back also included descriptions about Beloit in 1949. |
