This image is part of the collection of aviation publicist Harry Bruno. Because Bruno had represented the Wright Aeronautical Corporation the company that manufactured the Whirlwind engine that powered the "Spirit of St. Louis," the company asked Bruno to handle the public relations for the aviator both before and after the flight.
