Helicopter Crash
Spectators view the scene of a helicopter crash on Highway CV at the north end of Truax Field. The new $20,000 helicopter crashed when the pilot was attempting to fly off the flat bed of a truck on which the helicopter was being transported. One of the overhead blades struck the truck cab and the copter spun, overturning and landing nose-first on the pavement. |
