Gridiron Club menu, mounted on board, with a cartoon by Jim (James Thomas) Berryman of club president Tom Stokes in suit and tie, chef's toque, pleated apron, and gridiron-shaped medallion, standing in front of an old-fashioned stove, using a gridiron to turn the numbers "1885" and "1950" over the hot plate. The caption reads, "This hyar grub is sho nuff escuffyay ... er ... eppykorean ... er ... er ... goormahey ... er ... wa-a-al, it ain't cawn pone an' chitlin's ...!" He holds a card that reads, "Mid-Century Banquet December 9, 1950" with the gridiron emblem. Inscribed to "Ray [Henle]- The cook retires with many warm memories in all of which you were so much a part. My fondest regards, as always - Tom".
