018 - Exterior of "Living Cabin" II
Exterior view of Cabin II situated in wooded area. Original caption notes that this was one of five "living cabins." The caption also notes: "These five living cabins are attractive, roomy, completely screened, comfortable, well-ventilated and dry in ALL sorts of north-woods weather. Each has a suitable exposure, which affords adequate shade and sunlight. Each is placed advantageously on the camp site, with an attractive view on all sides. Each has a large porch, and a stove which is available for cold or wet weather. In each live three mature counselors and nine or ten girls, all of the same approximate age. Experience in group living in this sociologically sound set-up is an invaluable factor in the all-around development of the girl of today." |
