Article on the circus published in "Wisconsin State Journal" on July 28, 1933. A former circus performer himself as well an imaginative publicist, Orland Corben took advantage of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus visiting Madison to point out the size of the Baby Ace monoplanes that he manufactured at the Madison Airport. Advertising on the fuselage suggests Carbon had developed a business relationship with "Popular Aviation" magazine. In 1935 the magazine responded by featuring Corben's latest design, the Super Ace. |
