International Harvester Scout
International Harvester Scout Improvement photograph. Original caption reads: "Photograph MV-2128-- To extend the life of sheet metal used in the Scout, manufactured by International Harvester, three new rust-proofing measures have been incorporated. Zinc richer primer is applied generously to areas shown in white: at bottom of grille panel, along top, bottom edge and rear of front fenders, and at bottom of outer door panels. The areas shown in dark tone-- rocker panels, body rear side panels and rear fender caps-- are all made of highly rust-resistant zinc-coated steel. And third, a special filler is used at sheet metal joints to seal against entry of water and to improve paint-holding ability. MT-2500." |
