| A publicity still featuring the lead actors in "Test Pilot," an MGM 1938 motion picture release. "Test Pilot" was the story of a reckless commercial test pilot (Clark Gable, on the left) forced to choose between aviation and his wife (Myrna Loy). Co-staring with them was Milwaukee-born Spencer Tracy. Usually judged too short and stocky to play the kind of romantic roles in which Gable was cast, in "Test Pilot" Tracy played the loyal mechanic. |
