Cardinal Raymond Burke

The Cardinal Raymond Burke, then head of the Vatican Supreme Court, posing for a portrait in Bishop’s Vestry, Saint Joseph the Workman Cathedral. He is wearing a gold chasuble (robe) with embroidery on the chest, and red zucchetto (cap). This was on the day of a Mass of Thanksgiving in his home diocese soon after Ray Burke was made a cardinal. In the background are two stained glass windows. A crucifix is partially hidden by the Cardinal's head. |
