ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
From Jim Allen: "1976 Scout II 4x2 with Rallye package and Whitco Safari Top. An unusual combination of the Rallye Package combined with a soft top on a 1976 Scout II (100 inch wheelbase). This image was used to market the new Safari-Top option, which was a new soft top design from Whitco that was available both on the aftermarket and from the Scout Dealer. Scouts did not commonly roll out of the factory like this, rather the top would be installed at the dealership or by the owner. Most soft tops were purchased additional to the factory installed hardtop. The Scout top was easily removed so an owner could have a hard top for winter and a soft top for summer."
