From Jim Allen: "1970 Scout 800A 4x4 SR-2, left side view. The SR-2 was a promotional special done for 1970. It came in two colors, Flame Red (shown) and Burnished Gold, both with white racing stripes and the chrome reverse wheels and H70-15 Goodyear Polyglas tires. They were available with either the V-304 V8 or the 6-232 inline six. Any of the available transmissions could be chosen. Records indicate a total of 1,975 were sold, the majority in Flame Red." |
