Scouts In Various Scenes*Photos & Color Transparencies From Jim Allen: "1976 Scout II Traveltop 4x4 Olympic Ski Team Special Starting in late 1975, International began building 17 special 1976 model year Scouts for the Olympic Ski Team due to complete in the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbrook, Austria. Seven were 100 inch wheelbase Traveltops like this and 10 were 118 inch wheelbase Travelers. Since it was the United States Bicentennial, all wore patriotic red, white and blue paint schemes. Ten of the 17 (including this one) mounted Warn 8274 electric winches on Warn bumpers. The Olympic Scouts were identically equipped with the Deluxe Interior and Exterior Packages, (interior in Wedgewood Blue), V8 engines, automatic transmissions, 2-speed transfer cases, bucket front seats, rear seat, AM-FM radios and ski racks. This is one of a series of images used for marketing in 1976." |
