During World War I Alfred Lawson built several prototype military trainers at a factory in Green Bay. The former publisher of Fly magazine and Aircraft magazine on the East Coast, Alfred Lawson settled in Green Bay because of the financial support he found there. Unfortunately for Lawson, the war ended before he secured a contract from the military. Unable to find local support for civilian aircraft ventures, Lawson relocated to Milwaukee. |
