"Dawn Manor," Lower Dells
Photographic postcard view from the road of Dawn Manor, at Lower Dells, Lake Delton. The Dawn Manor is a small "gothic" house on the Dell View Hotel grounds. Also called the Abraham Vanderpoel House, (later the W.J. Newman House) it was built about 1857 and is the only survivor of Newport, Wisconsin on its original site. There is a windmill behind the house on the left. Caption reads: "'Dawn Manor,' Lower Dells." |
