A descendant of one of the owners of the building offered the following: This photo of Woody's Dew Drop Inn was taken in early 1953 after the first remodeling of the original hotel that was built in the 1880s. In 1934 the building was sold by the Wallaces to Pete and Grace Rupp. In September of 1951 it was sold to Woody and Marie Viney. The Viney's built an addition to the back of the building in 1957, and remodeled the barroom and kitchen in 1960. Woody's Supper Club was sold to Stub and Flo Behling of Madison and the name was changed to Stub's Hideaway. |
