Saturn SA-5 Rocket

Workmen making adjustments for launch are dwarfed by the Saturn SA-5 booster rocket, a preliminary stage in the development of the Saturn V. Eventually, Saturn V would be used to launch the Apollo missions of the late 1960s and early 1970s and the Skylab Space Station. This photograph is part of the NASA press materials collected by NBC reporter Robert Goralski. His papers are available for research at the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives. |
