Charles A. Peckham from the Togstad Glen Disabled American Veterans chapter presenting an American flag to the Eastside English Lutheran Church Lutheran Pioneers, a chapter (train) of the national youth organization that has 108 chapters in the United States. In the center is David Marotz, train leader; and at right is Rev. Karl G. Bast, pastor of the church and train chaplain. The flag was given in memory of Henry Jopke and Robert Larson, two Madison men killed in service. |
