Train with Snow Thrower

Winter scene with three men posing in front of a locomotive with a snow thrower attached to the front of the engine. The snow trough, barely wider than the locomotive, is as high as the train. Five men are posing on top of the engine. This was probably taken in Wisconsin during the big snowstorm of 1881. Between February 27th and March 4th, 1881, 2 to 4 feet fell in eastern and central Wisconsin with drifts up to 20 feet. |
