"Stop the Driver"
View down street towards a Fordson tractor hitched to a wagon hitched to a single seat plow. The sign on the wagon reads: "Stop the Driver, He Wants to Show You the Fordson Tractor. Will Do Any Job on the Farm. Schoelkopf — Madison." A smaller sign on the wagon reads: "We Are Power Farmers Using Fordson Tractor Purchased from Schoelkopf, Authorized Ford Sales and Service, Madison, Wisconsin." The tractor has a sign on it that reads: "Fordson Tractor, Replaces Horses As You See, Let Schoelkopf Supply You." This display is outside the Schoelkopf dealership at 212 E. Washington Avenue. Fordson tractors were manufactured by the Henry Ford Company from 1916 through the 1930s all over the world, but only sold from 1918-1928 in the United States. |
