This 1870 birds eye drawing of Fort Atkinson, Jefferson County, depicts street names and street layouts, houses, trees, Rock River and Bark River. A reference key at the bottom of the map shows the locations of the city's public school, specific denominational churches (Universalist, Congregational, Lutheran, Methodist, and German Methodist), Witcox Southwell & Co. Lumber Dealer, North Western Furniture Co., foundry, Fort Atkinson Tannery and Fort Atkinson Mills. The view is looking northeast.
