Butler Field was sometimes also referred to as Zimmerman Field, Currie Park, or Lisbon Road Airport. In 1927 the county purchased the airfield of the Hamilton Aero Manufacturing Company to replace Butler Field. It remains the core of the much-expanded General Mitchell Internal Airport.
