Original caption reads: "McCormick No. 2 harvester-thresher. This model first built in 1916 was designed along lines similar to the Deering harvester-threshers and was the first McCormick-built machine to use the straw walker-type of separating mechanism. The McCormick No. 2 had a double cleaning shoe with two cleaning fans, and was chain driven from the main wheel. Cutting width 9 feet. This machine was sold domestic as well as foreign." |
