Photograph
Glenn Curtiss and Post

Airplane inventor Glenn Curtiss (with moustache), and his friend and fellow aviator Augustus Post, to his right. Although identified by Warner to 1909, it actually documents a 1910 exhibition at Atlantic City at which both Curtiss and Wright planes appeared. Curtiss is wearing an inner tube/life preserver, as he planned to fly over the ocean. |
