Telstar Passing Test at U.W.
With the Telstar model in the foreground and University of Wisconsin President Conrad Elvehjem looking on, Professor Arthur Code made a transatlantic telephone call to Finland from Sterling Hall via the Telstar communications satellite. Telstar successfully relayed through space the first television pictures, telephone calls, fax images and provided the first live transatlantic television feed. |
