Parkway Theatre, originally the Fuller Opera House, was erected in 1890 with a seating capacity of 1200 people. The building was owned and built by Mr. Edward M. Fuller and was the pride of southern Wisconsin. In 1890 the lighting was changed from gas to electricity. Over 300 incandescent bulbs of 16 watts were installed on the stage. At the time Mr. F.W. Hoyt was assistant manager, J.E. Davis in charge of house and ticket sales, Chas. Walwer, stage manager, and carpenter, and Prof. Nitschke, orchestra leader. |
