Keystone House
This is number two in Stanley Hanks' collection of four prints of the Keystone House in Shorewood. This historic stone farmhouse, at 901 University Bay Drive, was renovated by Freda Keys Winterble. The house was named "Keystone" after her family. The farmhouse was built by William J. Petherick in 1853. The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation bought it in 1967 and donated it to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It is the home of the Max Kade Institute for German American Affairs. |
