Between the trees is an arched sign proclaiming, in German, "Glory to God in the Highest, Peace and Good Will to Men." The trees are lavishly decorated with glass ornaments, garlands, and lily flowers, and many candles. On the reverse of the photograph is written: "Leitz Church."
DESCRIPTION

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This was the church attended by the family of Edward Petersen, Chicago businessman and founder of the Petersen Oven Company. His son, William F. Petersen married Alma Schmidt, granddaughter of Conrad Seipp. The Petersens were owners of Black Point Estate.
