Executive Mansion
View across street towards the house at 130 East Gilman Street, which was built between 1854-1856. Lake Mendota is in the background. The stone building features a wrap-around porch and a balcony. Soon after Governor Jeremiah Rusk bought the home, he sold it to the State of Wisconsin. From about 1885 until 1950 this house served as home to 18 Wisconsin governors. |
