Otto Schmidt was married to Emma Seipp, the daughter of Chicago brewer Conrad Seipp, who built Black Point in 1888. Otto and his son Ernst were avid sailors and served as officers of both the Inland Lake Yachting Association and the Lake Geneva Yacht Club. |
