Boathouses at Black Point
View of the Black Point boathouses taken from the frozen ice of Geneva Lake. Blocks of cut ice are in the foreground. A description of the photograph written by Ernst Schmidt reads, "The channel cut, after the weight for the "Nepenthe" had been dropped to the bottom on February 11. The hole was 220 feet from shore and in 76 feet of water." A sailboat is stored on a rack on a section of pier to the left of the boathouses. |
