This bell was one of fifty-three replicas made in France and gifted to the United States in 1950. Wisconsin's bell was placed in the foyer of the State Historical Society. Kohler Jr. rang the bell after giving his address on Rededication Day, celebrating the (then) 102 years of the State Historical Society. |
