Society Hill
Four large, wood frame houses are seen in this view looking west along Lake Avenue. A small brick house with front bay window is visible through the open porch of the second house from the right, where three women are sitting. Another woman and four children are posing near the unpaved street. Young trees are growing between the curb and sidewalk. The printed inscription reads: "Society Hill, Montello, Wis." The sender has written on the card: "Tell Ellen I'll write to her when g - gets home." The name "Shirley" has been written across the image. |
