Kathryn Morrison was Wisconsin's first woman state senator. At the time Morrison was elected, she was an economics professor at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville. After leaving the Senate, she served for a time in the United States Department of Health and Human Services as a Deputy Commissioner of the Department on Aging, and was Administrator of the Division of Health in Wisconsin. |
