The shack was built in 1908 by Hobart Johnson, son of John Johnson who was the founder of the Gisholt Machine Company. Plans were formulated here for the Ducks Unlimited southern Wisconsin chapter. The photo appeared in Wisconsin State Journal, Outdoor World section on January 28, 1973.
