This map shows the location of major settlement regions for various ethnic groups. Includes a legend in lower left hand corner. Sparse settlement is represented by white. Diverse Nationalities (No majority of nationalities, Indian) are represented in blue. The British Isles (English, Scots, Irish, Welsh) are represented in red). Scandinavian (Swedish, Finnish, Icelander, Danish, Norwegian) are presented in green. East European (Polish, Bohemian, Russian, Lithuanian, Croatian, Slovenian) are represented by red-orange. West European (German, Hollander, Belgian, Swiss, French, Italian) are represented in brown. The back of the map contains text and five color illustrations of people in ethnic dress, a lake, and a ferry near a hilly populated shore. |
