Sid Wins World Champion Liar

Waist-up portrait of Sid Boyum in his backyard proudly holding a medal he won for an entry to the Burlington Liars Club in 1976. The entry read: "During a recent cold snap, I saw a nightcrawler steal the fur coat off a caterpillar and crawl back in his hole." The medal is a visual pun for the club, fashioned into the shape of a lyre, which is centered in a ring that suspends from two short chains attached to a miniature plaque that reads "World Champion Liar." Sid holds a cigar in his mouth, and wears a collared shirt with breast pocket full of cigars and a pair of eyeglasses. A small microphone is attached to a shirt button for what must have been an interview over his award. |
